Coleton Aglow

We are very pleased and proud to support the National Trust and Coleton aglow.

As the nights draw in and Christmas approaches, it's time to see things in a different light at Coleton Fishacre. On December weekends you can follow the trail of festive illuminations around the garden, and explore the house decorated for Christmas. Atkins Ferrie Wealth Management are supporting Coleton aglow in both 2016 and 2017.

CHICKS Delicious Kernow Trail

At the first ever Delicious Kernow Trail, held in and around Padstow on 21st May, runners dressed up, chowed down, and managed to raise an impressive £3164.24 for CHICKS!

The Delicious Trails are a series of food festivals on the run. Runners take on either 10 or 15 mile routes, stopping along the way to enjoy the best local produce around. This year was the first time the Trails had come to Cornwall, and over 150 runners took on the challenge. Every run is fancy dress and the theme for the Kernow was 'Saints & Sinners' - and we were so impressed with the effort everybody made!

Thank you again to Atkins Ferrie Wealth Management, for sponsoring this awesome event!

CHICKS Charity Golf Day

Children's charity CHICKS held their annual golf day at Trethorne Golf Club, Launceston on Friday 19th June. A total of 30 teams enjoyed a full day of playing and hospitality at the picturesque Trethorne Golf Club. CHICKS is very grateful to the main sponsor Atkins Ferrie Wealth Management. The Atkins Ferrie team consisted of Win Freeman, Jeremy Davies, Terry Dangar and Dave Bragg. Staff members Andrew, John and Rob also attended and took the opportunity to network throughout the long day. CHICKS would like to say a big thank you to Andrew for being a fantastic auctioneer! Congratulations to winning team CHIPS Golf Society which is a Plymouth based society.

The Golf Day raised £9,237 which will go towards funding the free respite breaks CHICKS provides for disadvantaged children at their retreats in Tywardreath and Brentor. CHICKS receives no government funding and relies solely on donations to provide free respite breaks for the increasing number of disadvantaged children from across the UK, including hundreds from many areas of Devon and Cornwall. The children CHICKS help include those in care or suffering severe poverty, child carers and victims of abuse. Events like the annual golf day play a huge part in funding the work that CHICKS carries out.
